Saddlebrook Prep School is an international college preparatory school, with academies for golf and tennis student-athletes. Over fifty percent of the SPS student population is comprised of international students from 24 nations around the world, and these students live on property under the direct supervision of our boarding team. The SPS boarding team consists of two full-time coordinators, and 5 part-time resident assistants. The Student Services Coordinators report directly to the SPS Director of Curriculum & Student Services.
SPS Boarding Staff members are responsible for the supervision, safety and well-being of students and the efficient operation of the boarding program. The RA's support and report to the Student Services Coordinator(s) in all matters pertaining to the boarding program.
Our full-time coordinators live on property in adjoining suites next to our student-athletes and handle the day-to-day operations of the boarding program. The Student Services Coordinators are responsible for safeguarding the students 24 hours a day 7 days a week, through planning and coverage for all boarding programs and activities.
Must be 25 years of age or older
Must hold a diploma from an accredited college or university
Must have valid Florida driver's license (or ability to quickly obtain one upon hire)
Must be willing to drive 13 - 15 passenger vehicles
Must be highly organized with experience in event planning
Must have 3+ years of prior experience working with teens in a supervisory role
Must be willing and able to work nights and weekends regularly
Must be an excellent communicator, with the ability to lead by example and through training
Must be able to take direction and criticism professionally and be willing to grow with role
Must be able to see the broader mission of the school and sports academies in relation to the boarding program
Highly Desired Qualifications:
Have 5+ years of experience in a boarding supervisory role.
Experience as a collegiate student-athlete, competing in the sports of Tennis or Golf.
Previous high school teaching or coaching experience at an international school.
Currently holds CDL license to operate large passenger vehicles, or willing to obtain upon hiring.
Previous resident advisory experience at the collegiate level.
Previous experience leading a boarding team, large camp program staff, or school staff.
Desire to foster positive and professional relationships with other boarding staff and students.
Desire to positively impact the lives of youth, through imparting the core values of Saddlbrook Prep School.
